Celebrate Sacred Heart: Amazing Parish Picnic
You are invited to join us for the 1st Annual Amazing Parish Picnic set for Sunday, June 25 at 1 pm in our parking lot (rain site: Parish Center, but that won’t happen!) to honor the Feast of the Sacred Heart. This is a moveable feast that always falls 19 days after Pentecost, and is our parish feast day. So let’s gather each June in honor of it!
We’ll grill hotdogs, brats and burgers, and ask that you bring a side dish or dessert to share. We’ll provide lemonade and water, but feel free to bring your own non-alcoholic beverages too. We plan to have line dancing for adults and families, as well as face painting, bean bags, and a bubble blowing pool for kids. Our desire is to create an event to allow our faith community to have a good time and just enjoy each other’s company. Whether you know just a few people here or lots and lots of faces, come on out for an Amazingly good time!
We do have a few needs: to cover the expenses of the plates, meat, buns, condiments and beverages, we estimate we will need about $500. Please, if you can help make a donation of any size to defray the cost of the event, please do so. Simply send a check of any amount clearly labeled “Special Events” to the office or drop it in the collection basket. We really appreciate your willingness to make a donation when our yearly budget is in shortfall.
We also need people available the morning of the event to help haul tables and chairs outside after Mass: let Steve Nelson or Wendy know if you can be part of our set up crew.
