“God sends each person into this world

with a special message to deliver,

with a special song to sing,

and with a special love to bestow.”

Fr. John Powell, Through Seasons of the Heart

Dear Parishioners,

We want Sacred Heart to be a parish in which one can hear a “special message” and learn a “special song”.  With this message and song, God sends us like the 72 who were sent in the beginning.

This Ministry Directory describes some of the ways we receive and are served, but more importantly ways we can give and ways we can serve.

Even though we see our lives in terms of the mission, we know that even the first believers who were sent, and even Jesus himself, too, needed time apart for reflection and for continuing personal formation and reformation.  Maintenance has its place.

Use this booklet as a resource for yourself and others you know who have a desire to be involved in the Life of Christ.  As you can see, there are a lot of ways the message is being heard and delivered, the song learned and sung, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Your Pastor,

Rev. John Sauer
